We offer eight family medicine residency programs—five in the Twin Cities and three in Greater Minnesota. All programs offer full spectrum family medicine training, but each program is distinguished by its community, unique feel, and curricular strengths. Resident graduates are well-prepared to care for the whole family in any setting: urban, rural, and global.
We sponsor four fellowship programs: hospice and palliative medicine, sports medicine, behavioral health, and human sexuality. The hospice and palliative medicine and sports medicine fellowships are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The behavioral health and human sexuality fellowships have membership with the Association of Psychological Postdoctoral and Internship Centers.
Program in Human Sexuality (PHS)
The Program in Human Sexuality (PHS) is one of the world's largest clinical, teaching, and research institutions specializing in human sexuality. PHS has led the way nationally and internationally in crucial, often controversial, sexual issues and has worked with local, national, and international health policies promoting sexual health.
Program in Sports Medicine
The Program in Sports Medicine include a fellowship and one-/two-day courses on sports and musculoskeletal medicine topics. Faculty are active in sports medicine research as well as providing care game-side and in the clinic and training room.
