UMN Medical Center University of Minnesota Medical Center
University of Minnesota Medical Center has two Minneapolis campuses—East and West Bank.
Residents have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from teaching specialists in a variety of specialties on both campuses.
The West Bank campus serves as a women's and children's facility, housing the OB and pediatrics services.
UMN Medical Center residents spend time at the West Bank campus during their OB, ER, and behavioral medicine rotations.
The East Bank campus is an 874-bed hospital that serves adult medicine patients and is known for treating highly complex patients, as well as transplant care and interventional cardiology. It is also home to the family medicine service. UMN Medical Center Program's inpatient team consists of first-year, second-year, and third-year residents, with supervision by our faculty.
Our residents spend time at the East Bank campus during their inpatient medicine, surgery, critical care, and cardiology rotations. The palliative care/pain medicine rotation includes consults on both campuses; however, the pain clinic is on the East Bank.
